Installing Walleto Theme

Getting the theme

After you have purchased the Walleto Theme, you can download it from your member account area in sitemile.com. You will be getting a zip archive with the theme, which you should store in your computer for the rest of the install process. After this you should be able to use that file in the next step which is , installing the theme.

Installing the theme via the Admin Panel

To install the theme via the admin backend, just first login to your administration wp-admin area, and follow the below steps:

  1. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
  2. Select Install Themes.
  3. Use the sub-menu or the Search or Filter options to locate a Theme you would like to use.
  4. Click on the Preview link to preview the Theme or the Install link to upload the Theme to your blog.
  5. Use the Upload link in the top sub-menu to upload a zipped copy of a Theme that you have previously downloaded to your computer.

Installing the theme manually via cPanel/FTP access

If you are having problems with installing the theme from backend admin, but have access to ftp of your server, follow the steps below:

  1. Extract the theme files it contains. You may need to preserve the directory structure in the archive when extracting these files. Follow the guidelines provided by your Theme author.
  2. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, create a directory to save your Theme in the wp-content/themesdirectory provided by WordPress. For example, a Theme named Test should be in wp-content/themes/test. Your Theme may provide this directory as part of the archive.
  3. Upload the Theme files to the new directory on your host server.
  4. Follow the instructions below for selecting and activating the new Theme.

Activating the theme after installing

To select and activate the theme please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
  2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
  3. From the Available Themes section, click on the Walleto title (or Walleto screenshot) to activate the theme.
  4. A preview of the Walleto will be shown.
  5. To activate the Theme click the Activate “Walleto” link in the top right.
